Dawn Chorus, Birding and Boating with the Feather River Land Trust May 2019
Join Feather River Land Trust, Upper Feather River Certified California Naturalist Kristi Jamason, and Wildlife Biologist Paul Hardy for a magical early morning experience at the Sierra Valley Preserve.
The Dawn Chorus in the scrub uplands of the Sierra Valley Preserve features the melodious warbles of Western Meadowlarks and Sage Thrashers, descending trills of Brewer’s and Vesper Sparrows, the buzz of Spotted Towhees and more, as they greet the day from atop sage and bitterbrush, set against the sights and sounds of the awakening marsh of the Middle Fork Feather River below. The quiet enjoyment of the Dawn Chorus will be followed by exploration of other sights, sounds and fragrances of the Preserve along a rustic walking trail.
